Counting Coins Could Help Build New Mahwah Playground

Share your two cents this Saturday at Boiling Springs Savings Bank

Last year, a group of Mahwah moms formed a committee to design and build a new playground at Winter’s Park that members say will be safer and more fun for Mahwah kids.

The group has been holding fundraisers to raise money for the renovation, which they say will include new equipment, safety features and a more natural feel.

This Saturday, residents can help the effort by bringing their spare change to Boiling Springs Savings Bank.

This Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., residents can bring their pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters to the bank’s free coin counting machine. 100% of the counted coins will be donated to the Winter’s Park Committee.

"Boiling Springs has been very supportive of the project and our efforts,” Committee Chair and Mahwah mom Kim Bolan said. “Coins for a Cause is just another way for us to connect with the community and it symbolizes that any contribution, no matter how big or small, will allow everyone to feel they helped build this beautiful playground.”
