Flags At Half Staff In Honor Of Former Ramapo Student

US Marine Corporal Kevin J. Reinhard died in Afghanistan this month

Governor Chris Christie ordered flags at state buildings be flown at half staff Monday in honor of a former Ramapo College student who was killed while “serving on active duty in Helmand Province, Afghanistan while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.”

According to Christie’s Executive Order No. 86, US Marine Corporal Kevin J. Reinhard, who was killed in Afghanistan earlier this month, “was raised in Woodbridge and attended Ramapo College and Middlesex County College, and in 2008 interrupted his studies to enlist in the United States Marine Corps.”

According to a , Reinhard, 25, was one of six Marines killed when a helicopter he was on went down in the Afghani province of Helmand.
