January

  • Representatives from six municipalities along the Ramapo River left a ‘Mahwah Flood Conference’ armed with a commitment to make a regional move to alleviate flooding in the area
  • The Mahwah Library celebrated its centennial anniversary
  • A Mahwah resident celebrated her 100th birthday. She has lived in the township since 1947.

February

  • Two people were arrested in connection with a stabbing off Stag Hill Road

  • Police reported that teen drinking incidents rose 150% over the previous year

  • Masonicus Brook was de-snagged by the county, which it said should help alleviate flooding in West Mahwah

Is it true that the mayor has requested that leaves not picked up....as per the agreement between the taxpayers and the township can be dropped off at his gas station?
