Books & Buds Book Club @ Mahwah Bar & Grill

Calling all book lovers! If you love to read, why not share your thoughts and opinions with other likeminded individuals?

Starting on October 7th, the Library is launching a new book club discussion group called Books & Buds. The first meeting will take place at the Mahwah Bar & Grill at 7pm and subsequent meetings will occur there on the 1st Monday of every month.

What sets this group apart from other area book clubs is that each month will focus on a general theme for discussion, not a specific title.October’s theme is “Getting to Know You,” where participants are invited to bring along some of their favorite titles to share and discuss with the group. Future discussion topics will include “Holidays from Hell” (books that focus on dysfunctional families) and “Love Stinks” (anti-romantic selections). Recommended reading lists will be provided to assist participants.

Participants are encouraged to meet new people, sample some great food and drinks and discuss your favorite books in a relaxed atmosphere.The Mahwah Bar and Grill is located at 2 Island Road in Mahwah.Supervising Librarian Allison Moonitz will moderate the discussion.
