Pianist Yuly Verbitsky in Recital: "Enchanted Europe" a musical journey around Europe including music of Mendelssohn, Chopin, Albeniz, Sibelius, and Liszt

Born in Russia Yuly Verbitsky received his music education beginning at the age of six at Stolyarsky Music School in Odessa, famous ‘alma mater’ of internationally acclaimed musicians, and later at the Ukrainian State Conservatory in the city of Kharkov, where he studied under the supervision of Professor Regina Horowitz, the sister and colleague of the great pianist Vladimir Horowitz, and Professor Boris Sklovsky.  He moved to the United States in 1979 starting his new career as an accompanist in Julliard School of Music in New York. Currently he is teaching at his Piano Studio in Berkeley Heights, NJ. His students have received numerous awards in various regional auditions and competitions. Mr.Verbitsky served many times as adjudicator at Spring Piano Festival and Annual Competition of New Jersey Music Teacher Association, and Honors Recital Competition of Music Educators Association.  Mr. Verbitsky continues to perform frequently in the New York / New Jersey Metropolitan area embracing in his repertoire masterpieces of different styles, from Bach and Mozart to Rachmaninoff and Stravinsky. His remarkable piano technique is obviously an integral part of the Russian school of piano playing.   Mr. Verbitsky was a soloist at Yalta Philharmonic, and touring concert artist at the State Concert Company (LenConcert) in St. Petersburg, Russia. He successfully performed in Brisbane, Australia, in the concert hall of Queensland Conservatory in August 2006 and August 2008. Mr. Verbitsky performs annually at Steinway Piano Gallery in Paramus, NJ. He also performed previously in Mahwah Public Library in 2007 and 2008.  This concert is free and no tickets are necessary.  Seats are on a “first come” basis.
