Chamber Golf Outing to Honor Breast Cancer Foundation President

Play for P.I.N.K. President has helped raise over $29 million for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This year's Chamber Golf Outing will donate a portion of its proceeds to the non-profit.

This September, the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce will honor the founder of Play for P.I.N.K at its 22nd Annual Golf and Tennis Outing. Laura Lassman, who serves as president of Play for P.I.N.K, a non-profit that raises funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, is the Chamber’s 2013 Humanitarian of the Year.

Since 1996, Lassman and the foundation have raised over $29.75 million for the BCRF. Lassman, a fashion stylist by trade, was awarded the BCRF Humanitarian Award, presented by NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, in 2001. She now lives in Florida.

The golf outing run by the Chamber offers a day full of events at the Tuxedo Club in NY that includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, putting and chipping contests, golfing, and an awards ceremony. Members and non-members of the Chamber can buy tickets to different parts of the day. Prices range from $150 for one ticket to the cocktail hour and dinner reception to $1400 for a golfing foursome to participate all day.
