Mahwah's 'Angels for Ava' Hosting Pediatric Cancer Fundraiser

'Braid 2 Aid' at Luxe in Ramsey will show salon techniques to local moms and daughters.

When Mahwah mom Samantha Rasmussen’s daughter Ava was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2012, the community held fundraisers, cooked dinners, and spread the word to help the family.

As Ava continues her battle against the disease, the Rasmussen family has decided to pay the charitable efforts forward, and work to help other kids like Ava.

The family founded Angels for Ava, a non-profit that raises money for pediatric cancer research, last year. Next month, Angels for Ava is hosting its first official fundraiser, Braid 2 Aid in the Fight Against Pediatric Cancer.
