Santa Fun Run to Benefit Ramsey Boy in Need of Kidney

Charity run will be right before 'Home for the Holidays' parade.

The following was submitted to Patch by Christine Souffront of Supportive Senior Solutions. Souffront is organizing the event.

A Santa Fun Run to benefit a local boy is happening in Ramsey this Saturday.

Runners age 14 up! Younger supporters are welcome to be sidewalk cheerleaders.

The Run Kick off is at 6:30 p.m. this Saturday Dec. 7. Runners are invited to wear a holiday costume and enjoy a fun run down Main Street through town. $5 minimum contribution to participate.  Money raised will support Donors For David Hodges, a 14 year old Ramsey boy in need of a kidney transplant.

The Fire Department, Police, EMS and the Chamber of Commerce are joining forces. The fun run kicks off at 6:15 P.M. on the Corner of Church and Main Street at Porto Alegre Cafe, across from Ramsey Hardware. Main Street will be closed by 6 p.m., so please park and arrive early.

Wear your brightest holiday costume and show off your holiday spirit. Run down Main street to the Fire house on Island Road dressed like an Elf, Santa, The Grinch, Mrs. Clause, a Reindeer, a Dreidel, Frosty, a Snowflake, a wicked little misfit, just join us and contribute your $5 donation.

Stay to watch one of Main Street's greatest town parades at Home for the Holidays.
