Mahwah Announces Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

You may still be thinking Thanksgiving, but the township's tree lighting ceremony is just about three weeks away.

We may be weeks away from Thanksgiving, but the township is already preparing for the holiday season.

Mahwah's Rec Department announced plans Thursday for its annual tree lighting ceremony, happening this year on Dec. 1. The Department sent out the following e-blast describing the event:

Mahwah's Annual Tree Lighting Festival will be begin on Sunday, December 1 at 4:30 p.m. in the Senior Center at Town Hall, 475 Corporate Drive. The Joyce Kilmer Choir will entertain with a selection of Holiday tunes at 4:45 and Santa will arrive at 5 pm to light the tree.

Come early to reserve your place to see Santa and enjoy our roving Magician and Face Painting. Refreshments will be served and Santa will have gifts for all his little friends who come to meet him.
