Readers' Choice: Favorite Sporting Goods Store

Vote for your favorite, and tell us why in the comments

Each week, Patch asks a new Readers’ Choice question. This week, we want to know where you like to pick up sporting goods and equipment.

Which spot has the best service, nicest equipment and most enjoyable customer experience?

What's most important to you and you? Is it convenience, price, the store's appearance, brand loyalty? What makes your favorite store stand out?

The locations to vote on include:

  • Ramsey Outdoor Store (Ramsey)
  • Modell’s Sporting Goods (Ramsey)
  • Cury's Sport Shop (Ramsey)
  • Eski's Sports (Ramsey)
  • Universal Lacrosse (Suffern)

Tell us in the comments below then cast your vote in the poll below.  Both votes and comments will be considered when determining the winner.

While we came up with the initial list below, we encourage you to post any business we missed that may fit in the “Favorite Sporting Goods Store” category in the comments below.

Voting closes at 9 a.m. Friday and official rules are attached to this story in PDF format.

The Ramapo Saddlery is a sporting goods store? That is a very odd choice for a sporting goods store to include in this poll.. Why didn't you include Universal LAX in Suffern or Eski's or Cury's in Ramsey?

Mahwah Dad -- Thanks for your comment. I decided to include the Ramapo Saddlery because it technically would be classified as a sporting goods store, even though it caters to one specific sport. And, thank you for all of your suggestions! I have added them to the poll.
