Mahwah T-Birds End Season 8 - 1 with Win Over Dumont

The Mahwah Varsity Football team is headed to the State Play-offs Friday, November 16 vs. Sparta

The bitter cold weather could not stop the Mahwah Thunderbirds from overcoming their opponent for their final win of the season. The team ended their season on a high note, beating Dumont 41 to 14.

The win was a true team effort with touchdowns by QB Zach Herrmann (1), Red Askew (2), Erik Wong (1), Jarus Paul (1), and Matt Colucci (1). All point after touchdowns (PATS) were completed by Zach Freguletti.

Mahwah's strong defensive line held the Huskies scoreless until the fourth quarter of the game.

The Mahwah Thunderbirds look forward to hosting the first round of the State Play-off games on Friday, November 16 at Egidio Caporale Stadium at Mahwah High School. They host the Spartans of Sparta High School. Time to be announced.
