Dump Truck Rolls Over, Spills Dirt and Debris on Route 17

Accident in Ridgewood caused major traffic back-ups Friday morning, report said.

Route 17 South in Ridgewood remained closed after 10 a.m. Friday as authorities cleaned up spilled dump truck debris, NorthJersey.com reported.

According to the report, the truck rolled over after striking the Linwood Avenue overpass and dumped dirt and rocks across three lanes of the highway.

The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries, the report said.

The accident caused major back-ups along Route 17 Friday morning, reports said.

As this story is related to major back-ups and there is another story related to major back-ups it would be pretty easy to make the case that the joke (another reminder) is related. If the subject of the the joke was not related to this story, it would not have been funny. As far as your question of "what's the point" it's pretty obvious that there is very little value in comments on the Patch on the whole.
