Feds: NJ Soccer Mom Wanted Beau's New Girlfriend 'Six Feet Under'

The details behind a sting operation carried out in a Mahwah parking lot that put a Lyndhurst woman behind bars for trying to hire a hit man to kill her longtime boyfriend’s new girlfriend were the focus of a 20/20 episode that aired on ABC over the weekend.

In 2011, authorities say Nicole Faccenda, 45, met with undercover federal agents posing as hit men in cars in the Mahwah A&P’s parking lot, and hired them to kill her boyfriend’s new girlfriend. Agents released videos of Faccenda’s meetings in the parking lot to the news magazine show as part of a special on undercover hit men operations.

In the videos released to ABC News, Faccenda can be heard telling an officer that she wanted the new girlfriend to be “six feet under” and that if the woman’s two children got in the way of the murder-for-hire, the assassin could kill them, too.

Faccenda also paid the man a $2,000 down payment, and promised him another $18,000 after she attended the woman’s funeral, authorities said.

According to the ABC report, Faccenda pleaded guilty to trying to hire a hit man and in December of last year was sentenced to 10 years in a federal prison. For the 20/20 special, Faccenda wrote emails to the show explaining her story.

In the emails, the soccer mom said she, “was a woman destroyed by emotions and I am paying for it dearly," the report said.

She also told ABC News, that she knows “in my heart that if it were not for the persistence and constant pressure from the…agents wanting to make their case, I would not be here today. I was at an emotional low point in my life and they took advantage of that.”
