The services for a Mahwah firefighter who in a one-car accident in New York state will be held Saturday and Sunday, at the Van Emburgh Sneider Funeral Home.
The visitation for John Deming will be held from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, February 11. Fire Department services will be at 7 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at the funeral home Sunday, February 12, at 1 p.m. According to the Mahwah Fire Department, following the memorial service there will be a procession from the funeral home passing the Deming House, and fire station.

"Deming, John K. 73, of Mahwah passed away on Jan. 30, 2012.
John is survived by his wife Frances (nee Monroe) of 52 years, sons John and David, brother Austin Jay, sisters Laura and Jane, daughter- in- law Stephanie, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. John operated his own business, John Deming Welding for 45 years. He was a member of Mahwah Fire Co. # 1 for 51 years having reached the rank of Asst. Chief. He was also a member of Mahwah Amb & Rescue Sqd Co. # 1. John enjoyed a life full of experiences as an avid outdoor sportsman and traveling with Fran at his side.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb 12, 2012 at 1 PM. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends are requested to share their photos and memories."
