A body found in the Hudson River Thursday has been identified as a Mahwah woman, nj.com reported.

According to the report, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino identified the body, which was found near a Jersey City park, as Joya Mirante, a 48-year-old from the township. Authorities believe Mirante jumped from the George Washington Bridge Wednesday, the report said.

Mirante parked her car on the bridge’s lower level Wednesday and jumped to her death before 10 a.m., the report said.

Her body was first seen by a guest and concierge at a luxury apartment building near 14th Street in Jersey City, who alerted police, the report said.

So sad when one seeks something like this as a solution, and even worse, it seems on the increase. Heard another recently was saved, only now to be jailed on drug charges Her ailing dog soon ran away from the police, to become homeless, yet still avoiding its mutual intended death. This, allegedly, was minutes after yet another soul jumped.

I'm not a seer but I would not be surprised to find a large rise in this demographic. Despair is on the increase.
