Mahwah Woman's Body Pulled from Hudson River
Authorities say the township woman jumped from the George Washington Bridge Wednesday, according to a report.
A body found in the Hudson River Thursday has been identified as a Mahwah woman, nj.com reported.
According to the report, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino identified the body, which was found near a Jersey City park, as Joya Mirante, a 48-year-old from the township. Authorities believe Mirante jumped from the George Washington Bridge Wednesday, the report said.
Mirante parked her car on the bridge’s lower level Wednesday and jumped to her death before 10 a.m., the report said.

Her body was first seen by a guest and concierge at a luxury apartment building near 14th Street in Jersey City, who alerted police, the report said.
