Roadwork to Close Sections of 202 in Mahwah
Closures will happen in the days before and after Memorial Day weekend.
The following was released by the Mahwah Police Department as a Nixle alert.
A milling and paving project will begin on Route 202 (Ramapo Valley Road) commencing on May 22 and continuing through May 30. The project will be done in two phases.
Phase 1 will be between the intersections of Darlington Avenue to West Ramapo Ave with the milling of the road on May 22nd and 23rd and the paving on May 28th. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
Phase 2 will be between the intersections of West Ramapo Avenue to Church Street with milling to occur on May 27th and paving on May 29th. This work will be performed between the hours of 6:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.
This work will result in full road closures. Detours will be posted. Additional alerts will be posted as the start date approaches. Thank you for your patience as the road infrastructure in our community is improved.
