Three Killed in Route 287 Crash in Mahwah, Police Say
Police say investigation into the cause of the accident will take weeks to complete.
Three people standing near their disabled cement truck on Route 287 northbound in Mahwah were killed when a tractor trailer struck them Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
According to a New Jersey State Police tweet, three men reported dead at scene of the accident.
"TT [Tractor trailer] struck rear of disabled cement truck on right shoulder. Men were outside of vehicles," the NJSP tweeted.
