During a recent "Meet The Candidates Night" sponsored by the library board, candidates for the mayor and a town council position in Mahwah answered the following question: "Recent water and sewer rate increases have raised questions about how the water and sewer department operates. If elected, how would you contain long-term water and sewer costs for residents?"
