County Clerk Receives Taxpayer Advocacy Award

Bergen County Clerk John Hogan is the latest recipient of Freeholder John Mitchell’s taxpayer advocate award.

The award, which has been given out nearly a dozen times, was established to recognize county employees who “have gone above and beyond in reducing the cost burden on the beleaguered taxpayers,” according to Mitchell’s website

Hogan’s goal as county clerk is to provide “leaner, smarter, open government that puts people first,” he said in a statement.
