Marine Moms Given Afghanistan Flag As Thanks

VFW, Moms thanked for work

At last Thursday’s town council meeting, two groups who work in support of the United States Military were honored with signs of appreciation from the armed services.

Blue Star Banners were given to the VFW Mahwah Memorial Post 7124, and a flag flown overseas was presented to the Mahwah Marine Moms.

The honors were presented by Gunnery Sergeant Mario Monaco and other military representatives, and accepted by Gary Montroy of the VFW and Terry Wendrychowicz of the Mahwah Marine Moms.
