New Act to Perform at 19th Annual Mahwah Day

The countdown to Mahwah Day is officially on, as the Rec Department has announced the date of and plans for the event.

The countdown to the 19th annual Mahwah Day is officially on.

The township’s recreation department Wednesday afternoon sent out its first alert of the season about Mahwah Day, which is happening this year on Saturday, September 28.

According to the alert, this year’s event is set to include a new element.

“This year we have a special appearance by Will Shaw at 5 p.m. Will has performed his amazing juggling [and] comedy show on Sesame Street, the Late Show with David Letterman, the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and under the big top with the Big Apple Circus,” the release said.

Classic Mahwah Day elements like kiddie rides, pony rides, live entertainment, games, food, and the annual dog show. The day will kickoff at noon with a parade to Commodore Perry Field, and will wrap up in the evening, with a performance by the Mighty Spectrum band at 6 p.m. and fireworks display at 8 p.m.
