Parade Route Set for Mahwah Day [Map]

Township released a map, as well as a schedule of events for next week's town-wide celebration.

The township’s 19th annual Mahwah Day celebration is just over a week away. In anticipation of the day, the township released a map of the parade route that will kick off the day’s events at noon.

The map outlines the route, which begins at Betsy Ross School, and ends at Commodore Perry Field, where the rest of the day’s events take place.

It also indicates where there will be a police presence and road closures during Mahwah Day. In addition, locals can check the map for a look at parking areas and drop off information for families of parade marchers.

Earlier this month, the Recreation Department released a list of events residents can expect at Mahwah Day. They include some new acts, like a juggling and comedy show by Will Shaw, and old favorites like kiddie rides, pony rides, live entertainment, games, food, the annual dog show, performance by the Spectrum Band, and fireworks display.

Mahwah Day is happening next Saturday, September 28.
