Storm Cancels Mahwah Government’s 2014 Reorganization

Council will now choose a new president next Thursday.

The township’s annual government reorganization meeting, originally scheduled for Thursday night, has been rescheduled, thanks to a storm the could drop as much as ten inches on Mahwah. 

Township Clerk Kathy Coletta  announced Thursday that the reorganization meeting is now happening next Thursday, January 9 at 8 p.m. The meeting will take place right before the first regular council meeting of the year.

The special meeting’s agenda includes the council voting in a new president and vice president for 2014. Last year’s council pesident and VP, Council Members Harry Williams and Lisa DiGiulio, respectively, are expected to pass the baton to two other members of the council at next Thursday’s meeting.
