Annual event will remember and honor the lives lost on September 11.

The 12th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks is less than a month away, and Mahwah is planning to commemorate the anniversary with a ceremony.

This year’s event will happen on Wednesday, September 11 at 7 p.m., Councilwoman Lisa DiGiulio announced at a township council meeting Thursday night.

The annual event will happen near the train station museum, across the street from Winter’s Pond. It will likely include remarks from township officials, and participation from local performance groups and other organizations.
