Township voted in line with the rest of the state.

According to unofficial results of the special primary released by the town clerk’s office after polls closed Tuesday night, 1,226 Mahwah residents voted in the special primary.

Most Democrats voted for Newark Mayor Cory Booker, and most Republicans voted for Steve Lonegan – the two candidates who will face off in a special election to fill an open Senate seat this October.
