Where You Can Vote In Mahwah

Some polling locations have been changed, thanks to Sandy

Despite remaining power outages and ongoing recovery from last week’s Hurricane Sandy, Mahwah voters will be going to the polls Tuesday. Three seats on the local school board, three seats on the Mahwah township council, and the office of the mayor are all up for election locally. Voters will also be voting in county and statewide elections, as well as for the President and on two public ballot questions.

Thanks to Sandy, a few of the township’s polling locations have been changed by the county board of elections. According to township clery Kathy Coletta, three locations were changed - District 4, which is normally at the Ramapo Ridge Clubhouse, and Districts 5 and 14 which are normally a the Bergen County Police and Fire Academy, are all being moved to the senior center.

If you don’t know which district you’re in, check this link on the township website, which lists every street in Mahwah, and indicates which districts residents are part of.

According to the township, the changes caused by Sandy will be for this year’s election only.
