Mahwah Kindergarten Registration Now Totally Online

Mahwah's kindergarten program is undergoing some big changes. The board of education is currently working to switch the now half-day program to a full-day one. And, the district recently announced that the process for registering a township child for kindergarten has been updated too.

The entire process is now online, district officials said. After running a pilot online sign up last year, registration for every elementary school will be carried out that way this year, officials said.

The district released the following information about how the online registration will work:

Any resident child, aged five on or before October 1, 2014, is eligible for enrollment.

Online pre-registration at: www.fridayparentportal.com/mahwah/preregistration

Online pre-registration must be completed by March 10, before kindergarten registration/document drop off at the neighborhood schools: Betsy Ross, George Washington, and Lenape Meadows. Kindergarten Registration (Document Drop Off)

• 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• March 11 – All students with surnames beginning with A – M
• March  12 – All students with surnames beginning with N – Z
