Power Restored to Ridge Road Schools

School will be back in session Tuesday

After over a week without school, Mahwah students and teachers will be back in their classrooms Tuesday.

Township officials confirmed the four Mahwah schools on Ridge Road had power restored Monday afternoon.

The Mahwah school district announced classes will be back in session Tuesday. An alert from interim Superintendent Dr. Karen Lake recommended students wear warm clothes since schools might be cooler than usual due to the extended power outage.

Since Hurricane Sandy, students have missed six days of school.

The Mahwah Public Library will also re-open Tuesday.
