T-Bird Youth Wrestlers Have Best Season Ever

Wide age range of wrestlers makes team "unique"

The Mahwah Thunderbirds youth wrestling team has grappled against the competition, and come out on top. The team finished its dual meet season at the top of the Tri County Youth Wrestling League with a record of 13- 1. That record makes this season the winningest in the team’s history.

According to participants, the Tri County league is “recognized as one of the toughest youth wrestling leagues in the state.” The Thunderbirds defeated teams throughout northern and western New Jersey including Philipsburg, Randolph and Paramus.

This March, will host the Mahwah March Mania Novice Tournament, which, in addition to some other optional tournaments, will round out the post season.
