What's a Swish?

What's a Swish? Just ask any student at , , , or , because "Swish" made an appearance at all of their schools this week.

Swish is a Harlem Wizards basketball player, who thrilled the kids on their home courts with his ball handling expertise and crazy antics as part of a promotional visit for their upcoming game at Ramapo Ridge Middle School on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are still available for this game in which the Harlem Wizards are set to battle the Mahwah Thunder in a basketball game to benefit Mahwah High School's Senior Class Project Graduation Gala. Also, a pre-game party called "Hoopla" will feature free activities and games for the kids and start at 5:30 p.m. Activities include arts and crafts, bowling, mini-basketball, mini golf and many other fun games. 

This event is a fun time for all ages. Tickets are $12 pre-game and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by sending a check made out to: MHS Senior Gala 2012 and mailed to , 50 Ridge Road, Mahwah, NJ, 07430 to the attention of "Wizards Game". Tickets can also be ordered online at www.harlemwizards.com. Once a ticket is purchased it will be available at the will call window the night of the game. Tickets are expected to be available the night of the game but it is recommended to order them early.

On the court for the Mahwah Thunder will be representatives from the schools, community and members of the senior class. Players for the team include faculty, community members and MHS seniors. Scheduled to be on the roster right now include Eileen Vrable, TJ Downey, Scott Wichard, Jack Petrunyak, Greg Baker, Jonathan Toczynski, Kristen Trabona, Pat Mennella, Mike Bello, Robert Taylor, Jason Calhoun and Andres Coba.

The game promises to be exciting and amusing, as the Wizards are known for their expertise and antics on the court. In addition, there will be a halftime show including a contest in which one lucky winner will win a stay at Mountain Creek.
