Mahwah Barracuda Swimmer Beats County 'Meet of Champions' Record

High school freshman won the 100-yard breaststroke.

Heather Wong, a freshman at Ramsey High School, won the 100 yard breaststroke in the Bergen County Meet of Champions on Sunday, January 19, 2014.

She won the event by a time of 1:06.58, soundly beating the county meet record of a 1:08.68.  This will automatically qualify her to be the First Team All-County winner for the 2014 NJSIAA Swim league for Bergen County.

She is a huge asset to the Ramsey High School Swim team which is coached by Kirsten Lambert and Kelly Hasslinger. She has been swimming year round for the Bergen Barracudas of Mahwah for the last five years.
