Mahwah Fall Sports Season Not Just for Kids

The township's adult basketball and volleyball leagues are starting next week.

The fall sports season is here, but that doesn't mean that youth sports leagues and varsity high school athletes will be the only ones taking the fields in Mahwah.

The township Recreation Department announced Friday upcoming men's basketball and women's volleyball leagues for adults. Both of the popular leagues are made up of pick-up games at Mahwah schools, and are open to Mahwah residents only.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Adult Men's Basketball:  Mahwah Recreation is sponsoring a free men's basketball league, open to Mahwah residents only. Players must be 25 years and older.

“Pick-up” games will be played on Wednesdays, beginning September 11, and ending June 11, 2014 at Ramapo Ridge School Gymnasium, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. If school is closed for any reason, the game is cancelled.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL  

Adult Women's Volleyball: 
Mahwah Recreation is sponsoring a free women's volleyball league, open to Mahwah residents only. 

“Pick up” games will be played on Wednesday's, beginning September 11, 2013 and ending June 11, 2014 at Joyce Kilmer School, from 7–9 p.m. in the New Gym. If school is closed for any reason, the game is cancelled.
