Mahwah High School will once again welcome a New York Giant this June for a football camp for Mahwah students.
The Second Annual Old Spice Justin Tuck Football Camp will bring Giants Pro Bowl defensive end Justin Tuck to the township June 4 and 5.
During the two-day camp, 7-14 year old boys and girls will receive personalized instruction in basic football skills from Tuck and area “prep and collegiate coaches.”
The camp, which runs from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. both weekend days, is non-contact, and focuses on small group instruction. According to a release sent out by the ProCamps organization, which runs the camp, instruction will focus on “fundamental skills and the team concept of football.”
According to the company’s website, it has been in operation since 1998, and “has developed, managed and operated sports camps and related events for professional athletes in the National Basketball Association, National Football League, Major League Baseball and Women's Professional Soccer.”
Other camps the company is operating this summer include the Carmelo Anthony Basketball Camp in NYC and the Ben Rotehlisberger Football Camp in Pittsburgh.
For $149, young football players in the area get the two-day camp, an autographed camp photo with Tuck, a t-shirt, and the possibility to win additional prizes.
