Library Promotes Summer Reading for Adults

Summer reading isn't just for kids. The library is running a raffle to motivate moms and dads to read too!

The following was submitted to Patch by the Mahwah Public Library.

Mahwah is a town that reads!

The Mahwah Public Library Summer Reading Clubs are now into their third week.  Mahwah residents - children, teens, and adults - are coming to the library and logging in their summer reads. Already, 45 adults have entered the SummerRead 2013 raffle.

Yes, even though you’re now an adult you can still join in on the summer reading fun because the Mahwah Public Library has a summer reading club for adults.

Why should kids have all the fun? There will be Grand Prize drawing at the end of the Summer. It’s easy to enter. Just read a book and fill out a raffle ticket each day to enter. Raffle tickets are at the Reference Desk.

While you are at the Reference Desk you can also pick up free bookmarks and a list of great reads.

Think you're too busy to read? Think again.

  • Take a book to the beach or on a plane while on vacation.
  • Read on the bus or train on the way to work.
  • You can read an e- book or listen to an audiobook.
  • The books you read as an adult “Parent Reading Partner” for children will count too.

Get the whole family reading this summer.
