Longtime Resident, Volunteer Snags Rotary Community Service Award

Bill Dator was awarded for his volunteer work with Ramapo College, the Mahwah Museum, township's Office of Emergency Management, and other local organizations.

The 2013 Bergen Highlands/Ramsey Rotary Club Community Service Award was recently presented to longtime Mahwah resident Bill Dator, the club announced in a release.

The group explained its reasoning for choosing Dator:

William Dator is a third generation Realtor who has been active in the region since 1964. In addition to his real estate endeavors, Mr. Dator maintains a strong community involvement. He volunteers his time as Trustee of both Ramapo College and the Mahwah Museum, and was named Citizen of the Year by the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Dator is a member of the Mahwah Township Board of Adjustment, and is also active with the Mahwah Office of Emergency Management. His knowledge and his many years of service in the community provide an invaluable resource to the volunteer endeavors in which he participates.
