Mahwah Senior Center to Offer Tax Help to Township Elderly

Ameriprise Financial invites you to join us on January 16 at noon for a special seminar, Four Cornerstones of Your Financial Future. The event is by reservation for Mahwah senior residents only. Suggested fee is $2 per person.

During this seminar, you’ll learn:

• Strategies you can use that can help you feel more confident about reaching your financial goals
• Tips on how aligning four key concepts -- cash management, protection, investing, and tax planning – can help you bring your dreams and goals more within reach
• Ways you can identify and correct critical gaps in your current financial plan 

The Tax-Aide program, sponsored by AARP, will again be available for all Seniors and others with low to moderate income.

This community service offers free tax preparation, including Federal and State of New Jersey returns.

Those seeking assistance should call to make an appointment and are asked to bring their previous year’s tax returns, plus information on their 2013 earnings, including pension, interest, Social Security benefits, and other supporting forms that apply.

A trained counselor from the AARP will be available in the Mahwah Municipal Offices (upstairs on the 3rd Floor) on Fridays, beginning Friday February 7 through Friday April 14 between the hours of 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
