What Would You Improve in Mahwah in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Mahwah, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money. As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in Mahwah to make it an even better place to live? At last week's swearing in ceremony, politicians commented that they would work to heal political divides that have split the community over the past two years.  What is on your Mahwah wish list? If the truck driver was not white would use use another term to describe them besides "rednecks". Rather narrow minded of you to call them "rednecks" or hypocritical. The statement about what they do is fair however the argument looses its substance when you use terms like the one you used. Try to be a better person in 2013 is what we should all work on and maybe Mahwah would improve from there.   more ›

NJ Transit Running Extra Trains for New Year's Eve Travelers

Check the extended bus schedule and special fares being offered, too

Planning to watch the ball drop in NYC on New Year’s Eve? NJ Transit has released the following extended schedule for those who will be traveling to ring in 2013: NJ TRANSIT will operate late-night trains after midnight on New Year’s Day, as well as special late-night bus service from Port Authority Bus Terminal to accommodate travelers returning home from midnight celebrations.  In addition, customers can continue to take advantage of NJ TRANSIT’s special extension of the Family Super Saver Fare, which allows up to two children 11 and younger to travel free with each fare-paying adult.  Usually limited to weekends, the Family Super Saver Fare is in effect continuously from 7 p.m. Friday, December 21 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, on …
