This week, Patch wants to know where your favorite spot to pick up sushi is. Under new ownership, Bob’s said it is slowly giving the floral shop a “fresh” design, which will include a new name
Each week, Patch asks readers to vote for and comment on their favorites. By 53 percent of the Readers’ Choice vote this week, Mahwah Patch users chose Bob’s Flower Shoppe as their favorite florist in Mahwah. The shop, on East Ramapo Ave. in Mahwah, recently came under new ownership. Flor Bella Designs owner Patricia Caseres took over the shop late last year. Managers and floral designers Scott Alexander and Frederick Lange say they have used their near six months in Mahwah to acclimate themselves to the community, and begin giving the shop a fresh look. “The community has really welcomed us, it’s been great,” Lange said. “We have done arrangements for the PBA, the township, the school district and Ramapo College. We love being involved.” …

Mahwah Deli comes in a very close second
This week’s Readers’ Choice poll, which asked users to vote for and comment on their favorite deli in Mahwah, was a very close race. Thanks to a combination of votes, comments and positive reviews on its Patch directory listing, Janek’s Meat Market was named the favorite deli in Mahwah. One Patch user, Antrim, commented “Janek's is a true, old-time deli. Larry is always there to great you with a smile! The hot pastrami sandwich is one of the weekly lunch specials and Janek's famous hot dogs are served every day at lunch.” Another, Janet Wilson, agreed. “Besides the food, I love Larry, Lee, and Eduardo. Next week. Readers' Choice asks for your favorite deli in Mahwah
Each week, Patch asks readers to vote and comment on their favorites in the community. This week, readers chose the Modell's Sporting Goods store in Ramsey as their favorite sporting goods shop. The Modell's, which is located inside the Interstate Shopping Plaza off Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey, carries both equipment for playing sports, and fan gear for all NY area teams. Next week, Patch will ask readers to vote on their favorite deli. Each week, Patch asks readers to vote and comment on their favorites in the community. This week, readers chose the ShopRite in Ramsey as their favorite grocery store. The ShopRite, which is located inside the Interstate Shopping Plaza off Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey, is owned and operated by Inserra Supermarkets, which is headquartered in Mahwah. The location boasts weekly specials, coupons, savings for Price Plus card holders, and online grocery shopping. Next week, Patch will ask readers to vote on their favorite beer list. We are still compiling a list of the nominees, so if there is a bar or restaurant in town that has a beer list you like, let us know in the comments so we can add it to next week's poll.
