After six years in the U.S. Air Force, and a life of travelling the world as part of a military family, I chose to make Atlanta, Georgia my home. I love this city for its amazing diversity of people, landscapes, activities, and because it is the beating heart at the center of so many educational, industrial, historical, and cultural institutions. In the four years I've lived in this giant city, I have abandoned my military telecom background, and currently work to build myself a new life as a journalist. Why leave such a lucrative market to struggle to make a living in the journalism field? I love reporting, fiercely! Patch.com has provided me with my first reporting experiences beyond the university setting, with work that really does double duty as great training on how to cover local news. My editor, Stephanie Arnold, makes sure I get the most out of my learning experience. I've also recently been hired as a reporter for the Courthouse News Service, a job I enjoy very much. It gets me interacting with the judicial system, reviewing cases, and getting to know the people who are essentially to guiding us through any and every legal procedure.
