Summer Concert Series in Mahwah to Feature Free Music, Fireworks

The 2014 TD Bank Summer Concert Series at Ramapo College kicks off July 10. See the full schedule.

The many sounds of rock n’ roll will fill the air this summer with the 2014 TD Bank Summer Concert Series at Ramapo College featuring an internationally renowned Queen tribute band and the sounds of The Beatles, U2 and classic oldies. The concerts, which begin on Thursday, July 10 and run for four consecutive Thursdays, take place under the stars at the Ramapo College Bandshell.

"The TD Bank Summer Concert Series is a great opportunity for people to enjoy first-rate music acts in an outdoor environment," said Paul Scarduffa, retail market manager for TD Bank.

This year's TD Bank Summer Concert Series features:

July 10 - Jersey Sound

Jersey Sound is one of the tri-State area's best oldies groups, offering an eclectic blend of classic pop, Motown and R&B. The Jersey Sound's vocals and dynamic rhythms will have audiences moving their feet to the beat. Fireworks follow the show at 9:30 p.m., weather permitting.

July 17 - Long Live the Beatles

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles arriving in the United States with The Mahoney Brothers, the longest-running fab four tribute band. The New Jersey-based group has wowed hundreds of thousands of fans over the course of a 30-year career with no signs of stopping anytime soon. Fireworks rain date.

July 24 - Almost Queen                

Almost Queen has headlined major rock festivals and sold out theaters across the U.S. and around the world. The premiere Queen tribute act seamlessly blends the vocal layering, studio precision and unique showmanship that define the iconic British rockers.

July 31 - U2 Nation

U2 Nation's salute to one of the biggest rock bands in the world is driven by the quartet's passion for U2's legendary music and live shows. The group studies every note, tone, and effect to create the closest experience to being at a U2 concert.

All concerts begin at 8 p.m. Admission is free. Parking is $5 per car. Concertgoers may pack a picnic dinner, chairs and blankets. The Mason Jar will offer freshly grilled and prepared items for sale, including hamburgers, hot dogs and its famous pulled pork and burnt end sandwiches. Ice cream and other frozen treats will also be available for purchase.
